The Little House Books, by Laura Ingalls Wilder, can be found in every school and public library.  They can also be found in many classroom libraries.  Please read Farmer Boy by Laura Ingalls Wilder and do the following activities.  The Filling the Ice House chapter can be found in the "Country" section of the Third Open Court Reading Texts.  Other Little House excerpts can be found in other readers.
